I was checked by my OB today. She said that I'm 2-3cm and 75% effaced. The baby is at a -1 station. 2 days ago I was considered closed (because they couldn't quite get in) and 70% effaced. Discharge has not changed, but at times can be watery. I know it's hard to predict when a person will actually go into labor, but in your experience what can I expect? I'm almost 36 weeks now, and had my twins at 33 weeks. I know anything is possible, and of course I'm not holding my breath for sooner or later or viceversa. Thanks

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

As you say, it is difficult to predict. Active labor starts from 4 cm dilatation and labor can then be artificially induced without problems. If in 2 days you progressed to this stage, you can expect to go into labor any minute. Keep a watch out for fetal movements and keep in touch with OBS and Gyne every day. All the best! Take care!
