I just had an appendectomy in the beginning of march and i went back to work a week later, and two -three weeks later i began lifting some furniture and some other things and now my back is throbbing. Any ideas what it could be? Also when ever i cough, sneeze, hiccup, etc, my stomach hurts really bad.

Welcome to e health forum.

Your symptoms are probably due to scar tenderness. Most abdominal surgery scars need at least 4-6 weeks duration for complete healing. During this time you should avoid lifting heavy objects and high intensity sporting activities.

Medications like advil, or naprosyn might help to relieve the pain. Wearing a abdominal binder will also be helpful.
