Q: When do i take BC?

my doctor gave me bc pills and she didnt really tell me when to start taking them. My friend said the day my period ends and i have been reading things and they say when it starts or the sunday your period is over. i am just really confused! help please.

you should start bc the sunday after your period starts.....so lets say it come on tuesday 1/27 your first pill would be on sunday 2/1 even if you are still on your cycle. hope this helps!!! Smile

You can start your pills at different times. The directions that come with the pill will tell you when/how to start takeing them.

Just remember that they don't become effective immediately unless you start them the day your period begins. Otherwise since you are just starting the pill, it would be a good idea to use a back up method for about a month.
