Q: What to do if you think doctors are giving inaccurate info?

This post by a doctor on eHealth Forum contained very inaccurate information. Hormones in birth control pills WILL NOT, DO NOT AND CANNOT effect the results of a home pregnancy test...

Any reactions? I was simply appalled that a person so many people trust with their medical problems could support such a falst statement.

I replied to this doctor's post on that link, read it if you would like to understand why he is wrong. I doubt, however, that he will read it.

Hm...

How about I ask the admin if the doctor can explain his post. As far as I know, you're right concerning the hormones affecting pregnancy tests. But he was right as to when a test is accurate, 14-21 days is pretty typical for most women.

Let's see what they say before we get too worked up. Smile

The doctor has responded with a clarification on the issue, and with in-depth research and reasoning as to his opinion. As always, you reserve the right to have your own opinion, but we will support the opinion of our medical experts who based their responses on evidence based medicine.

Thanks for your question!
