Q: What to do if I'm addicted to purging?

I am so frustrated... I need some help.
I guess I have bulimia, I purge after eating. I don't really look underweight. My goal weight is still 15lbs away.
I think I'm addicted to purging, though. I've never really tried to stop...
should I see someone?

Extremely eHealthy
Yes you should see a therapist that specializes in bulimia.

Please do so before you develop serious medical problems as a result of the bulemia.

If you purge after eating you are bulimic.

Please seek help right away.

Good luck

Sweetheart this really is dangerous..I have been throwing up for sometime not on purpose--I have the medical condition called Sjorgens and I am so dry things get stuck no matter what I do..I am having a EGD done week after next because of this..I honestly don't know what they will find and am concerned as this has been on-going-so-you see I really do understand but it happens with me for different reasons..Doing this messes really bad with electolytes and can harm the esophagus as well as other things..It's time you (really) talk with someone..hugs...kd

LITTLEONEB: Thank you for your advice. I'll be attempting to seek a medical professional. The only problem is that I'm not 18... so, do I need my parent(s) in there?

KDLEE: Okay (sigh) I guess I've let this go on long enough... God, please help me!
*fingers crossed* I'm just so afraid of telling an adult (NOT on the internet!!) Uhh!!
I'm so afraid of what my mom will say!!

Tell your mom that it's time you spoke with a professional, honey you love her now trust her..

Talk to your mom like you are talking with me..She deserves to know and you deserve to know that no matter what she is there for you..I would want this of my son and grandson..

Sometimes placing in front of someone written word of what you need is helpful..IF that is the case then print out one of your posts..I'm sure your mom will love on you and possible shed soem tears but will be happy you have opened up to her..Don't mistake her fear of the cutting and Bulimia for anything other than what it is..Hard to do I know but you can because God is on your side..hugs..kd

Oh, sooo sorry I've not been on recently! I've been really busy! I'm okay, thanks. Esp on the ED side of things... I've eaten healthy food and kept it down! Smile
I'm trying to get in a pattern of sorts... eating a nutrition bar for breakfast (140 cal) and a lettuce wrap for lunch (145-160 cal) and a glass of milk for supper. If I eat much more than that I'll feel FAT!
I've lost 7lbs. Smile Smile Yes!!!
My goal is 15 more by the end of this year. That gives me an ample amount of time, eh? Smile
