I have a symptom called "floaters" in my eye and the symptoms stops, and comes back every now and then. Also, whenever I have high stress, or when I exercise, the floaters in my eye begins to start flashing black and white for a moment and stops. I have an appointment with a specialist in a few months because the doctors are booked solid. I've been told there is a chance i could have detatched retina. However I want to know what other things can cause this. I appreciate you taking your time to read this and thank you very much.

Is it like a flash from a camera? because I also have the floaters and flashes..but not black and white, just white flashes like someone just flashed a picture. weird, I have been to my eye specialist and he said it was due to my macular eye condition, but I worry about it. I know that PVD is another cause of flashes, which is just the vitreous gel coming off and nothing to be too concerned about. I hope everything works out for you..Please keep me informed , as I am also wondering about conditions that cause the floaters and flashes..thanks
