Q: What pill should I switch to?

I started taking ortho tri-cyclen LO at the beginning of March, and I've really not felt like myself since, except when I took the placebo pills. I'm going to finish out this month (my second pack) and if I don't feel better at the end then I'm going to ask my doctor if I can switch. It's beginning to affect my relationship with my boyfriend, and I'm just not willing to take a pill that does that.

So, my question is, if you were on ortho tri-cyclen LO and didn't like it, what pill did you ultimately end up being okay on? If you could tell me the reasons you wanted to switch, that would be really helpful too. Also, should I try to give it a third month?

My side effects were:

-Slight nausea when starting the first pack, that went away after the first week
-LIght Spotting (during first month)
-Breast Tenderness
-feeling distant from my boyfriend
-Being slightly depressed (I'm usually a very happy, up-beat person)
-feeling detached and indifferent in general

The personality things I listed I know are side effects because they went away the week of the placebo pills. I just want to be on something that doesn't change who I am.

Every answer is greatly appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the ortho lo, I'm on necon 7/7/7 (generic name). If the personality changes and depression are becoming concerning to you at all I'd switch.
