Hello, and thank you for your medical question on e Health Forum.

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin), a water soluble vitamin which plays a major role in the functioning of the brain, Nervous system and also in Hematopoiesis (production of blood cells). Its role in the cellular metabolism is important with regard to DNA synthesis and regulation.

The Normal level in blood ranges from 200 - 900 pg/mL (picograms per milliliter).
Values of less than 200 pg/mL indicate that there is a deficiency of this vitamin and needs to be supplemented either with dietary means or medications along with steps taken to diagnose the cause and treat it effectively.

You may consider to consult your health care provider for additional information and support.

I hope this is helpful.
