Specimen: fnab- right thyroid nodule

microscopic description:
smears are moderately cellular, having moderate amount of colloid in a bloody background. the thyroid follicle cells are individually scatttered, are arrranged in groups and as sheets. these thyrocytes have relatively uniform round small nuclei and scanty cytoplasm. foamy histiocytes and hemosiderin-laden macrophages are seen.

diagnosis:

cellular findings consistent with nodular colloid goiter.
