Why do i feel lathargic after eating? I will feel so tired its like i am drugged. Its not like "oh i ate so much i could take a nap now" like my uncle did during holidays. but almost like narcolepsy. i dont eat too fast or too slow, just normal eating, normal food and about 30-45mins afterwards i can barely keep my eyes open if i actually do keep them open. Im not a diabetic, was just tested. i have never been one to fall asleep easy either. this has me rather worried because its going on for so long now and i dont know how to fix it besides not eating, but then of course you have to eat. Open to suggestions thanks. P.S-no chance of pregnancy or tubal....total hysterectomy done years ago.

I have been dealing with this for years. Even after a well rested sleep, I have to make a decision of eating or not now. I can eat anything and it doesn't matter how much or little. I feel drugged and crappy. I can't keep my eyes open at all, the only thing that seems to work is to get on the tready and walk for 30 minutes or so. I have to take energy drinks/shots to stay awake after eating. I have tried everything I have even resorted to only eating at night just before bed so I don't notice it, but problem hungry throughout the day. I'm getting comprehensive blood test done now on a fast. My doctors say if they don't find anything they will do another blood test within an hour of my eating to compare results. This is driving me crazy because I like food but with it making me feel like this I can't drive after eating at all. If I have to drive I don't eat.
