Heres the story...I was 14 was in a car wreck injuried my back that injuried my neck. I eventually healed except the one vertebrae in my lower neck was sticking really bad hurt a lot couldn't sleep etc. I ended up with POTS having extreme nausea, vomiting, fatigue, migraine, hypotension, tremors, seizures, passing out, numbness, dizzyness, palpatations, unable to concentrate, paleness/modeling, weakness, appetite loss, joint pain, insomnia, and many others. When I was doing a pushup on some dumbbells the vertebrae painfully popped back in after so many years and almost every symptom went away for five years until I was rearended. I had severe whiplash, herniated discs in my neck, torn stretched muscles along spine, severe muscle spasms, my neck was actually stuck to the left. Since the accident the POTS has returned not as bad in some symptoms and worse in others. If I tilt my head down too long, rotate my head, turn my head too much etc. this comes on. I am trying to find out if pressure by inflammed muscles, bulging discs, vertebrae constantly popping etc. could cause any of this? I was in physical therapy and she had me rotate my head while in a pressup position. I became severly dizzy, nauseous, my vision became cloudy and I hit the mat nearly passing out. She told me that theres a compression on my artery or arteries or even at the base of my brain that could cause all my symptoms. Could someone please tell me all the possiblities that could cause POTS due to my neck injuries?

Extremely eHealthy
Your symptoms of POTS following the neck trauma are due to spinal cord injury.
Actually, a spinal cord injury results in disruption of spinal pathways, leading to autonomic nervous system dysfunction.
This injury causes hyposympathetic activity, parasympatheticus is mainly with preserved function, but the synergistic relationship between parasympathetic and sympathetic control is lost.
The higher the level of injury (neck spinal cord), the greater the level of impairment of efferent sympathetic nerves.

Best wishes!
