I went to a pharmacy and talked to a pharmacist and they told me I should take the Plan B since the side effects were not what I thought they were and it was not as expensive as I thought either. The catch is you have to be 18 to get it without a prescription (which is ridiculous considering you can get an abortion where I live without parental consent?), so I had to have a friend make the transaction for me since I'm still 17. The pharmacist who I consulted with was very helpful and knowledgeable and didn't care that my friend had to buy it for me, which was a relief. I encourage anyone reading this who is in a similar predicament to go get emergency contraception... In retrospect, I don't even know why I hesitated. Think of it this way... $50 now for a pill that could potentially keep you from getting pregnant and is relatively free from serious side effects or stressing out for a month and winding up pregnant... which, depending on your views, means either a child or $700 for an abortion, which I would imagine to be a very unpleasant experience on multiple levels.
I took the first pill about 40 hours after the Friday night incident, so hopefully the minimal chance I had of being pregnant was completely eliminated. So far, I felt light headed for an hour or two after I took it, but besides that I feel pretty good and INCREDIBLY relieved. Another thing that made the decision easier was that I didn't have to stop taking my birth control either because I was concerned I was going to have to start all over again and wait for my next period and start a new pack and what not, but according to the pharmacist I just take it like I normally would along with the 2 Plan B pills.
Seriously, go to your local pharmacy or Planned Parenthood (I think you can get it even cheaper there and you might not have to be 18 .... not sure) and get it if you are in a similar predicament... you have 72 hours to take it, it might make all the difference.
