Dare, I think you are mixing 2 things up.

Virginity is not a physical thing. Being a virgin have 2 general meanings:

1) Being sexually pure - Not having had a man or woman touch you sexually
2) Not having had intercourse - This is the most common use. The first time a penis goes into your vagina, you are no longer a virgin.

The other thing you might be talking about is breaking/tearing your hymen. The hymen does however not have a direct relationship to virginity. You can be a virgin without having a hymen. You can also not be a virgin and still have most of your hymen intact.

So in summary:
* Did you have intercourse (his penis inside your vagina)? If yes, you are not a virgin.
* Did you allow a boy or girl to touch your vulva, finger your vagina or anus or kiss or lick it? If yes, you are no longer sexually pure but you are still a virgin.

If you live in a culture where keeping your hymen intact is important, do not put anything inside your vagina, not a finger, tampon, toy or whatever. Masturbate by rubbing your clitoris, not by sticking anything into your vagina.

Take care!

AllyKate, No, losing your virginity is not a reason to cramp. Maybe your period is arriving?

I hope you were safe and used condoms!

Take care.
