Yes, it is possible that day 9 of your cycle can be a fertile day.
After about 30 minutes, all sperm inside your vagina will be dead or useless. It will just drip or flow back out with the semen (as you experienced).
Your problem is the sperm that swims up your cervix, uterus and Fallopian tubes, and wait for you to ovulate. That sperm can stay alive for up to about 5 days and if you ovulate in those 5 days, it can fertilize your egg.
