Q: Weight loss and birth control pills
asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 5th, 2008
Hi, I'm an 18 year old female. I weigh 182 pounds. According to my doctor I should weigh between 130-140 pounds. I want to lose weight. I've tried everything. Crash diets, pills, exercise. Nothing is working. I'm not healthy nor happy the way I am. How can I get the motivation to do this? And how can I lose weight. I need to lose about 40 pounds. I'm in no rush. But I don't want it to take forever. I've got about three months. I really want to do this. How can I lose this weight safely and be healthy at the same time?

There is no easy way to lose weight. You have to take in less calories and do more exercises. This sounds simple, but it is usually very hard to achieve. Birth control pills may also contribute to your being overweight. Diets always include food restrictions so you will probably need to take vitamin and mineral supplements.

You could consult a nutritionist about your condition.
