weight loss after gallbladder surgery Posted: 05-19-08 10:58am
My mom had her gall bladder removed in
October. Since then, she has had many,
many things wrong with her, and not one DR
knows what is going on. All MRIs,
CATSCANS, and bloodwork comes back with no
infections, no cancer, nothing unusual.
However, here are her symptoms, she has
sever lower back pain, she cannot eat ( at
most 800 cal. a day from liquids-Ensure),
she gags when she tries to eat solid
foods, therefor she has lost about 50
lbs., she has one kidney functioning at
about 7% and has had infections in that
kidney, but she was hospitalized and that
was treated and taken care of, her stomach
has a constant bloated and full feeling,
she is extremely constipated and can only
have a BM if she drinks prune juice. Her
weakness, I think, stems from lack of
nutrients becasue she's unable to eat. We
are getting desperate for answers. My mom
is young, only 62, and was very healthy
before she had to have her gall bladder
removed due to an attack last October. Any
help, any advice, would be greatly
appreciated
