I would like to know this too, I have gluten problems as well and have just stopped eating it. I have found it extremely hard to gain weight! I just start feeling horrible and sick when I am above 130. I was trying a while back to gain weight but it was very annoying because the more I ate the worse I felt. I have diagnosed hypoglycemia, which can be a symptom of Celiac disease.

My doctor never mentioned anything about celiac but, I have never been tested. I am just starting to see the great connection between the two since going gluten free.
I think it is the hypoglycemia that prevents weight gain and the celiac that in some cases create the hypoglycemia.

why am i gaining weight on a gluten free diet?
i have been on a gluten free diet on and off for over a year. i have celiac disease. i have been very careful about what i have been eating over the last couple of months and i find that i am gaining weight. at middle age that is not what i want to do. i do work out several times a week. i eat yogurt for breakfast, tried slimfast in mid morning and have low sodium turkey breast with salad for lunch. dinner varies. what about a gluten free diet makes you gain weight i do eat lots of fruit, especially bananas
