I had this before - as early as 12 weeks - it was a sharp stabbing pain under my breast/rib cage area, and other times a dull ache. Doctor assured me it was heartburn - even though I hadn't eaten anything out of the norm, she said i wasn't tolerating the same foods now that there's much less room in there.
