ok so i have been experiencing some weird things in the past couple of days and i was just wondering if anybody else has gone through the same thing? i have been having like 4 bowel movements a day for the past few days(sorry for the tmi).i'm also getting stronger cramping in my lower stomach, but today my stomach feels super hard and i was getting like sharp pains from the top of my stomach to the bottom. I know that i've been getting braxton hicks in my lower stomach, but the pain in my upper stomach is different. I saw my doctor 3 days ago and she said everything is good and i'm dialated to a 1 the babies head is down & cervix is still hard.

Sounds like your body is getting ready for labour! When the contractions get more painful & come more frequently you might want to get checked out, as it could be hard to determine when labour has actually begun. You may go early, but you could end up staying like this until past your due date so try not to get your hopes up about anything happening yet, just in case! Good luck.

Hi, I am at the end of my 36th week too and had my doc visit two days back. She confirmed that the baby was in cephalic position and will be settling final-down this week and thats why I guess I am also experiencing the same symptoms since yesterday ie crampy lower abdominal pains which at times are slightly sharp (as if diarrehea could start... uuhhh sorry for being abit disgusting!) apart of which also it seems like there is a change in the baby's movement too but after a constant check by keeping my hand on my tummy, lying on my left side for some time (to monitor the movements) and even by having orange mango juice and lying on your left or sitting with your legs rested straight and up, the movement is justified. So i guess it is a part of the process.. as far as there are no other strange new syptoms such as bleeding, watery discharge flow, fever, sharp continueous contractions or pains and your little one is still moving every now and then... there is no need to worry as such.Good Luck and keep on monitoring your baby's movements and watch out for any new unexpected symptoms coz then you really need to call your doctor.
Take care!
