33 Weeks pregnant and not sure if having contractions.

Hello I'm 33 weeks pregnant and for two weeks I been having cramps in my gut there almost like period cramps, sharp shooting pains in my sides, and pains the middle of my back to my lower back. Sometimes i can go pee then like 2minutes later i get sharp pains in my bladder that make me need to pee again and make me feel like I'm going to pee myself. Also I asked my doctor when it started and he said it was normal. Is this really normal I'm kinda worried. P.S. This is my first baby. Thanks For the help.
