You might want to consult your doctor about your incision. It could be anything from a boil to an infection. Go see your doctor to be sure. Also, try to keep the incision clean and dry. I know it is hard for you as you are overweight but just keep it dry as often as you can. A dear friend of mine is overweight and had a c-section and she found that carrying around scraps of clean, dry cloths helped her a bit. She says being overweight causes that flap of skin to hang over the incision so there is constant moisture.

I know just what you mean!
Hi there! I agree....just give your doctor a call: best to be safe rather than sorry! I am overweight - and had my hysterectomy almost a year ago. The healing process was probably slower than it might have been: infections and soreness and being unable to lie on my side - I put them all down to my big tummy! I used sanitary towels over my wound, to keep the moisture to a minimum, and to keep the wound as clean as possible.

I promise you - it does get better: and I am now happy to say that the hysterectomy was life-changing - in a good and positive way!
