Hi,
For the last 3 years I was on pills. My Husband and I are planning for a family now and I stopped taking pills in May. I usually have my cycle within 28-30 days. My last 2 cycle starts were 18 May & 22 June. I have not had my cycle in July ( supposed to happen on 22).
On July 28 I did first seft pregnancy test using one of those test sticks, it turned out negative. Then again after 1 week I tried second test and it also turned out nagative.
Its 12 Aug now and I am badly confused. I have an appointment with my Gynac end of this week.

But till them, I have butterfilies in my stomach and very badly confused.
Like most others say about pregnancy symptoms, neither I am having sore breast not I am sure if my eating habits have changed.
This state of anxiousness is killing me......Could I be pregnant ?

missed period
well u could be but i could see why u wouldnt be, especailly if u were on birth control for a while it really messes that stuff up, and stress and alot of things can change ur cycle and iv been reading books about parasites wich everyone has but alot of times you get them in your organs such as... and especailly if u have any kind of pets go on google and research parasite detox, if the doctor tells u its nothing seriouse just from stress id still look, its pretty interesting but im a nerd i like to read about stuff about the body and all that i could be a doctor by now if i had a class lol do alot of research it helps, good luck

There are some factors that can cause a missed period, stress being the biggest.

Has your diet and exercise habits changed at all? Any recent weight changes, sickness, or medications? Were you regular before birth control pills?

Hi Maddie34,

In June, I consulted my gynac for Pre-pregnancy counselling and because I was planning pregnancy she had recommended me a good diet for (milk, green veggies, tofu, fruits) and prenatel Vitamins.
My breast and nipples were always sensitive. Its been 1 month me taking the vitamin tabs and good diet I haven't noticed any weight changes and i dont find my breast sore anymore.

I was regular in my cycles. Before, my periods were heavy with severe stomach ache and lasted for 4-5 days , after my wedding once I started taking Birth Ctrl pills they came down to 3 days. But they were regular.
After my June's cycle, I was testing my ovulation period and we had planned intercourse accordingly.

I am a little stressed at work, but I never missed my period any time under stressed circumstances also.

Like I said doc asked me to have good food and lots of liquid because i live in arizona and its very hot 110F here.
I have read in some other Posts that self pregnancy test measure the harmones in urine and if drinking a lot of fluids then urine might be too dilute for a test to pick up the levels of the hormone in very early pregnancy and can give false negative. As of today, its been 20 days missing my periods, and i did the tests on 28th July and 3rd Aug, could this be a reason for the test turning negative ???

I very much want it to be positive and have a feel that I am pregnant,
but confused with the negative test results.

Try taking one more test, first thing in the morning-- That way you don't need to worry about dilluted urine.

If it comes out negative then you should speak with a doctor about your period.

Good luck!
