Hi,

I'm 36 weeks and my doctor told me that I'm 1 cm dilated. This is my second pregnancy and I was wondering if dilation goes faster with the 2nd?

i would think that it is a possibility.
everything is stretched out from having a first child
if i were you, i would ask my doctor this question.
i think if it were any concern to him though, he would tell you to get to a hospital though
hope that helped you Smile

With my first pregnancy, I was 3cm dialated and fully effaced at 38 weeks.

Towards the end you can have progress without going into labour.
