I know it's normal to start to lactate at around this time, but why am I slightly weirded out by it? I haven't been wierded out by anythign else yet but stuff coming out of my breasts just seems strange to me. Anyone else feel this way? how long will it take me to get used to this?

That's right around when I started lactating too and it weirded me out. I'm not sure why maybe it's cause you can actually see it happening and for up unto this point in our lives it's not normal to have leaking breasts. My suggestion stock up on bra liners and hang on for the long haul as things just keep gettin weirder and weirder as the weeks go on.

*getting technical*

You won't actually begin lactating until after the baby is born and is nursing for a few days. What you will be doing is leaking colostrum. Your breasts don't begin to make milk until usually 2-4 days after the baby is born and begins suckling. Until then, the baby is fed on colostrum.

It is just your breasts preparing for the big day, and 2-5 days after. Women that have leaky breats before hand have a good chance of producing real breast milk. Some women do not produce enough, if any milk at all, so that is a good sign.
