It's been 8 weeks since I had a hysterectomy. I still have my right ovary and I am super happy.
I had suffered for 3 years with strong headaches, heavy bleeding during my period and bad crambs.
Now all of that is gone. We had sex with my Hubby on the 4, 5 and 6 week after surgery in different ways other than intercourse since I couldn't, and when I finally was released from my doctor, I had sexual intercourse and it was amazing!!
Nothing changed in my system I am still the same person with sexual desires. I am really glad I made the decision to have the surgery.

Hi lovemyhubby49 and welcome to ehealth: I, too, felt the same way after my Hysterectomy....Mine happened at 47 and I have never looked back...They even took my ovaries...

IMO, too many women live in fear of this happening....When in reality, it can make their life so much sweeter...Take care...
