Hi I'm wondering if anyone thinks that I have carpal tunnel.
The main thing I have noticed is that my hands don't work as well as they used to. I find it hard to do small things like put in my earrings or turn the page of a book. I also find it difficult to open jars or bottles because my hands feel so weak. It actually hurts if I try to open them. I do have some pain though not a lot. I would describe it as a dull ache in my fingers and wrist. My thumb on my right hand has also started shaking for no reason like i have a trapped nerve or something. I also sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with numb, tingly hands like I have been lying on them.

Thanks for any help.

It seems like you're describing arthritis. How old are you?

How tight is your grip?
Is it both hands?
Is there swelling on the back of the hand where the fingers meet the hand?
Which fingers have pain?
Do you do any repetitious activities ie typing?
