Leukemia can affect many parts of the body, including the organs of the cardiovascular and digestive systems. But what are the major symptoms of leukemia?...
Two weeks ago I was taking prednisone (40 mg/day) for eustachian tube dysfunction. On the fourth day of the prednisone, I had blood work done and it showed my WBC count at 16000. My doctor said we should wait two weeks and repeat the test, as prednisone can raise WBC counts. I had the repeat test done yesterday and I am very anxiously awaiting the results. I just had a normal blood count done in March. I can't believe prednisone for a couple of days could raise my count so much. I am worried sick that I have leukemia. Can anyone offer any advice?
