when i was pregnant with my son, my mucus plug started to separate at about...36 or 37ish weeks, i never thought much of it because my family member is a nurse, and assured me of what it was and told me to mention it to my doc. which i did, and that it was normal.
at around 37-38weeks, i had some leakage, my amniotic fluid i guess was starting to release, i felt some cramping and i also had braxton hicks contractions-false labour. the doctor at the hospital told me that it is normal for me to have some leaking, and i should expect my baby in the next week or so or sooner.
i never got a gush of water when my water did break-4days after my due date!
i just leaked amniotic water.

i think it is fine that you are leaking a little bit of water..is it a little or alot of water?
if you are worried about this, talk to your doctor, call your OB and make an appt. for today and go see him or her, and they will do an untra sound if needed, and listen to the baby's heart beat and all to see if things are okay or if there is a need to worry.

i think it is normal, only because what you are experiencing is similar to what i experienced, i never got the gush! of water, my mucus plug separated around 36ish weeks or so and i leaked water around that time too.

but tell your doctor or OB they can help you with this better.
good luck.
