Q: Washing cats in sink

I live with two people in a house; one is the house owner, the other person is a boarder like me. I am a person living with H.I.V. The house owner is a cat enthusiast who feeds up to ten different cats from the neighborhood, none of which are his cats. His daily routine involves taking all these little saucers that all these cats have eaten off of and then washing them in the kitchen sink. This is the same sink that we all have to use for daily kitchen use. These cats kill and eat rodents and birds which they then carry around in their mouths, and of course use their tongues to clean themselves.
One day, out of concern for my health, I asked this person if I could have the cat dishes washed in a separate basin, flushing the water down the toilet. I even offered to do the washing myself just to stop these cat dishes from passing through our kitchen sink. He told me I should think about finding another place to live, and has continued to wash those cat dishes in the sink everyday (sometimes twice daily) ever since. I am obviously concerned for my health for good reasons.
I have 3 questions; question 1 is a 2-parter
1. What do you think about this person and their choice to ignore my request?
2. What do you think I should do about this?

I didn't get all three questions, only two but here is what I think...MOVE! He obviously is a bit of a jerk...you were VERY polite and nice about your concerns and even offered a solution..to do them yourself...so move out ASAP.Living with HIV can be stressful enough without some creep adding to your stress..and that many stray cats could be a hazard to your health...yuck! After your gone, call the ASPCA or the cops and tell them about all the strays...most cities have a law against that.
