Wart still there? Was it really a wart this wholetime?

Well it first started as what looked like a zit, except it was brown. I decided to remove it, then these black dots circled around it. Got it checked out,doctor said it was wart. Had it cut open, and then he applied cantharidin (beetlejuice).

The went back the following week, had it cut again. The wound was healing up and getting better. But even though the skin is now healed, the black dots would continue to circle and appear around it and it would get itchy.

Is the wart still there, or is it something else?
