If you've been trying to get pregnant for a year, you should go see your doctor and see what s/he has to say.

thats what my doctor recommended for me and my hubby. One of my docs told me that it could take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive. He said that after that year went by then we could start doing more testing.

I was on the depo shot for 5 years and he told me that it could take a year for that to get out of my system. Sure enough in 1 year I was pregnant. My last shot was Nov 06 and I conceived sometime in Dec07.

I would recommend seeing a doctor since you have already tryed everything. Were you on depo by chance?

It is recommended, like Rosie said, to see a doctor after you've been actively trying to conceive for one year unsuccessfully. It is advised to get a PRE-pregnancy check up anyway.

The fertility friend/charting/temping is really your very best bet. You become so aware of your own body and what is going on. The true way to get pregnant is to know your ovulation cycle - charting/temping does that.

Good luck!!!

I would also suggest in addition to charting/temping your cycle to have your husband get a sperm analsis. It is a simple but extremely effective way to rule him out of the problem if there is one. If he checks out ok, then you might want to make an appointment to talk to your gyno about doing some further tests to see why you have not had any luck getting pregnant.

Definitely start charting. That is single handedly the best way to find out what your body is doing. You have to know when you are ovulating if you want to time your intercourse perfectly. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about this because I have been doing this for a while.

hello!

Have you been to your dr yet then now?
They do say that it takes around 12-18months for a couple trying to conceive to actually get pregnant due to stress etc.. and worry of trying! maybe you shouldnt actively try and just try not to think about it (i know its hard) but just dont lose sight of the act of sex, dont just do it to have a baby!!! also there are many different things you can do to help increase the chance by after sex lying on your back and keep your legs raised as this also raises your lower area, some say it really does help the sperm to get to the egg etc... but as someone has said you should go to your dr as your partner may have a low sperm count or your eggs may not be that good and you may need help with that!

Also are you monthly cycles regular???

They have ovulation prediction kits in stores. It shows your most fertile days, of course estimated.
They are sold where pregnancy tests are.

I would recommend trying that if you are leery of seeing a doctor.
