my mom has 'ERIC' tattooed on her ankle. she was married to him and got it because she thought it was going to last forever, but that didn't happen. now she is remarried to a guy named mike and she wants the tattoo of 'ERIC' gone.

any ideas how she could do this??? without a cover up tattoo???

How long does it take?

Is there any marks or does it look just like your old skin?

The sure shot solution for tattoo removal is laser treatment. Laser treatment is bit expensive and it takes time but it really works. There may be some itching but that will go after sometime.

hiii, I have removed two tattoos recently one from my arm and other on back by laser tattoo removal treatment. You can use YAG Laser machine for it, it safe to use and is quick. Besides it It can eliminates the age pigments and spots, etc. This process is comfortable also, and so its available almost in every part of the country.

I had laser treatment on my tattoos for over a year. 12 treatments in total. The tattoos were still there. The ink had no colour in it and was a dark green colour. They faded a little but that is it. In the end I bit the bullet and had skin grafts on 3 and 3 cut out. That was 10 days ago. The 2 that were cut out, have healed. The skin has a small scar but biooil should remove this over time. The 3 on my ankle and up my inside shin were grafted, following being cut out. The graft has not taken as well as hoped and it is extremely painful. Your Mum's tattoo sounds relatively small if it is only a 4 letter name on it. If she has enough skin on her ankle whereby she can pull it together I would recommend it be extracted by a plastic surgeon. The ankle is a tricky area in that it is generally quite a tight area with blood flow not circulating like other areas and hence laser tends not to work too well here. That is from my own experience though. Others here may have more positive results. Best of luck. A small scar is better than a tattoo.
