Welcome to e health forum.

For your information, conception occurs only when you have unprotected intercourse (semen deposited within the vagina) within the fertile period of the cycle. In women with a 28 day cycle, this time period is from day 12 to day 16 of the cycle, with ovulation occurring on day 14.

In women with a 30 day cycle, ovulation occurs on day 16 and the fertile period is from day 14 to day 18. Similarly the fertile period in women with 34 day cycle is from day 16 to day 20, with ovulation occurring on day 18.

Intercourse before and after this time interval does not result in conception, and this period is the NON-FERTILE period.

In case, you have a 28 day cycle, and your expected period was on february 10th, then you might have had intercourse on 6th or 7th day of your cycle, and that would be within the unfertile period of the cycle.

Hence chances of pregnancy would be very less.

I hope this helps.
