how long after having sex would it take for the pregnancy hormone to show up on a home pregnancy test. see i cant just wait until my missed period because i am extremely irregular. there are many months i just dont have a period at all and when it does come its never at the same time as my last.

It should be accurate 2 weeks after you had sex

Colie is right, most pregnancy tests are accurate by 14 days after sex. It takes that long for the egg to fertalize, implant, and produce enough hormones. However, if you have been having sex multiple times and over various days, it's harder to pinpoint where to test (especially if you have irregular periods) since you don't know which act of sex it is that was around ovulation time. Good luck, I hope you get a positive/negative test (not sure if you are trying to conceive or if it was an accident that you're worried about)!!

If you want to test often I suggest you buy those cheap pregnancy test strips they sell online.

Have you tried on herbs to regulate your cycle? That would increase your chances of conceiving.

track whatever periods you have and try to find a pattern, that is most likely your mentral cycle and once that cycle goes off beat then maybe its time to test.... or if your like me and dont have the time energy or money wait a few weeks then test and then wait a couple more weeks to test for sure! i found first response to be a cheaper yet accurate test and you can get a box with 2 in them for like 8 dollars....

I have the same exact problem! i started my period june 15th and three days later had unprotected sex and my period is still going. everyone keeps telling me its very possible i am pregnant even though i was on my period and still am. since i don't know when my period is going to end and start up (or not) again i've been testing every four days or so (same brand as isaywhatisay...good brand!) to see but everytime it's been negative :p

Having your period straight for a month isn't a symptom of pregnancy.

Are you on birth control or have you taken anything like Plan B lately?
