My urogyno thinks I might have vulvodynia but is not sure and is sending me to another doctor. I live in Canada and it'll be months & months before I see this other doctor. My question is, is there anything else that can cause the same symptoms of vulvodynia, something that can be cured quickly, like an infection perhaps? I have had severe, constant burning in the vulva area for 3 weeks straight; between the inner and outer labia, up front by the clitoris, around the vaginal opening, back by the anus. It especially hurts when I sit for a long time, and after wiping, even gently. Please help, the urogyno gave me a pamphlet about vulvar pain, but I have had only minutes or perhaps hours of relief at a time during these last 3 weeks, and I am scared this is permanent.
