About 6 months ago whilst examining a pimple down there I noticed lots of fleshy lumps round the entrance to my vagina. I panicked and went to the GUM clinic the same day where they examined me and said were normal skin tags caused by child birth (i have 4 kids). Then about 3 months ago I had a really bad attack of thrush and after the treatment I was still itchy. Over the next 2 months I was swabbed 3 times and each one came back clear. I'm still itchy, not all over just in random places and I have noticed lots of small little lumps that when you pull the skin appear white. They 'seem' to be under the skin although I'm not 100% and feel like little grains of sand under the skin. I have a few larger ones on the inside of vaginal lips which the GP examined last week and she said the are large sebaceous glands, also I have lumps all around the 1st inch or so of vagina which she said are skin tags after that it goes smooth. I still can't get it out of my head that they may be warts! I have been with my husband for 10 years and neither of us have been with anyone else and he doesn't have any signs. Am I over reacting and should listen to the GP and GUM clinic or should I go and get another opinion? Help

If your doctor swabbed the lumps, they probably checked for herpes. You can call and ask to see if they did run a herpes test.

It can be an abscess, its hard to say for sure what it is. As I have not seen the said lump. Get a second opinion just in case, and call the doctor's office to see if they did run the herpes test. If you're still paranoid, it may be herpes ask for the blood test. There are 2 kinds of herpes. Herpes type 1 are cold sores, that you usually get around your mouth. Herpes type 2, is the one you're worried about. The blood test will tell you which one it is if you do have it.
