Q: vomiting after taking the pill

ive just started the birth control pill levlan and have been using it for about 3 wks now so i am coming to the end of my first mth with it (i'll be using the white pills next wk)..instead of starting the pill on the 1st day of my period like they recommend, i started it about 2 days after i finished (after i talked to the chemist) and have been taking it everyday. i am not in a commited relationship so my sexual life is irregular however, i had unprotected sex in the eearly hrs of yesterday morning and then later that morning i took the pill at roughly the same time i have been everyday but i vomited in the first hr of taking it due to alcohol/hangover..i have only just realised this and would like to know if there is a chance that preganacy could have occured..the following day (today) i took my next pill as always- is that enough protection? please help me

Because you were sick AFTER you had sex, there should not be a problem. However, I think you should have taken two pills to make up for the 'lost' pill. Since it is too late for that, I recommend that you use a back up method of birth control for the next seven days, just to be on the safe side. Since you are not in a committed relationship, you should be using condoms as well anyway.

yes i am aware of that..it was a night of stupidity and thats why im just a bit paranoid..but thank you so much for responding and thankyou for your honesty
