Q: vomit feeling in throat

It's like a feeling as if you stuck you fingers down your throat, or almost did. My stomach is not upset really. I do have post nasal drip and GERD; I've had the former since I was a child (20 yrs) and the latter for about 2 yrs.
I had a feeling similar to this when I first was diagnosed w/GERD and the meds seemed to help. But I'm on meds. What is going on in my throat to make me feel like this?

Have you had your throat examined by an ENT specialist to be sure that there's nothing in the throat to organically cause this symptom? That would be the first step.
