Q: Vocal chords covered by film ?

It feels like my vocal cords are covered by a film of something. It makes me want to keep clearing my throat but it doesn't accomplish anything. I gargled with salt water and I drank some water (with no salt) but this feeling isn't going away. Any ideas?

You could try sipping on hot liquids or use an inhaler so you can cough it up. If you have nasal drip, taking medication to prevent it should stop the film from coating your throat.

my doctor told me that my vocal chords were creating mucus to protect themselves from the after excess acid indigestion-I think she was right
