Today I gave blood, as I have done before, but this time I passed out when the needle was removed. I never watch-- just started to feel bad once it was removed--then I fainted- not uncommon.
What is weird is that #1- I urinated all over myself ( and I had just gone and emtied my bladder right before i got there, so i dont know how I did this), and #2- I had all these freaky visions going through my mind at 100 mph all of which were completely foreign to me. Things and places I had never seen before- I felt really paniced because I couldnt figure out why I was seeing this. I rember thinking maybe I died. Then the bloodmobile folks put ice packs on me and I woke up-- very scared, wondering what the hell was going on. it took me a little while to realize i was in the bloodmobile.
Is this a normal thing? I have fainted before-- but never with these two effects. thanks for any advice. otherwise I am a very healthy 34 year old mom-
