The definition of a virgin is not having had intercourse. If you do not have a penis inside your vagina you are still technically a virgin.

Virginity is however also a sign of sexual purity in some societies and religions. If he fingered you, you are definitely not sexually pure any more, even though you are technically a virgin.

I do not know if virginity is important to you but it is certainly a highly overrated thing unless your belief system is such that you want to stay pure and a virgin for your husband.

It really depends on who you ask. Odds are most of your peers define virginity as not having been penetrated by a penis. However, if your boyfriend has fingerred you you're really just looking at technicalities you've had sex with someone, you're not really a virgin. And as Susan said, virginity may be a big issue for you now but in just a few years it will likely be pretty trivial. Your virginity is going to be gone eventually, worry about things in your life that should be lasting.
