Here is my story: (If you take the time to read this I appreciate it)

August 20-21st I feel I was sexually exposed to somebody who had HIV+, I barely had any vaginal sex. Oral sex is another factor though... which I swallowed his semen. There was no anal sex involved. 2 weeks after this exposure I caught a horrible case of Tonsilitis, AND a yeast infection/candida. I'm not sure what relation it has to HIV (I have heard it is not a common symptom but It's weird to contract BOTH at the same time prior 2 weeks to exposure) To calm my nerves I could not wait 3 months for an antibody test, so I took a viral load RNA test to test if i even had Acute HIV Syndrome, The test results will be on Monday September 22, 2008. It is now September 18, 2008. I have been having horrible cramps, diareha and NO appetite what so ever. I'm not sure if it is because of all the stress I am under, or I am really sick. Please help if you have any advice to cope within the next few days... I can barely eat anything and my depression is sky rocketed high.

Regards - Sara

Were you treated for the yeast infection? I hope so because if untreated, this infection can spread.

About waiting for the results, occupy yourself with hobbies that you like doing. Force feed yourself and think about how your life will proceed if you are negative and how you will behave if you are positive, God forbid.

Wishing you all the best and please let us know about your test results.

I commend you for going for a HIV test. Shows your bravery and responsibility. Keep it up.

Always
