When I burp it smells really bad and then about 8-12 hours I get severe diarreah and vomitting. I will have diarreah and I will vomit until whatever is out of my system comes out and then I am fine. It is happening about every other day and I wonder what could be wrong with me?

Welcome to e health forum.

The probable causes of your condition can be due to the following issues including - indigestion, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, malabsorption syndromes, lactose intolerance, parasitic infestations, etc.

Medications like activated charcoal (Charcocaps, charcoal tablets) can help to reduce the symptoms of bloating, belching, etc as well as foul smelly flatulence.

Probiotic supplements may also help to improve your digestion and reduce your diarrhea.

In case they do not improve you may consult with a gastroenterologist who can examine you and provide proper treatment.
