Very scared I have melanoma

I am very scared i have a malignant melanoma. Three years ago i had a blistering sunburn after staying in the sun too long on holiday. I am skin type three with almost black hair and dark eyes. I have only received one blistering sunburn in my life. The burn was particularly bad on my legs.
I have a new mole on the back of my thigh, I went to the doctor about it and she said she isn't worried and will not remove it. I also visited a mole clinic and the specialist said that it looks fine and gave it a melanoma rating of 1/10 because of the colour. I am worried sick. What concerns me is that it looks like it is smudging on to the surrounding skin.
