very light period

I'm on the pill, but I recently had surgery (beginning of April) & had to take medications that decrease the effectiveness of birth control. I've never missed a pill, but I've been a couple of hours late taking it. This was our only form of protection, he pulled out (which I know isn't a method of protection b/c you can still get preg from this).

Last month, I skipped my period on purpose, so I didn't take the placebo pills, I just continued taking the active pills.

This month, I had PMS symptoms like the huge headache and cramping (these are normal symptoms for me). And I had a period, but I wouldn't even call it a period.. I usually start my period on Wed morning and it's gone by Friday night. This month, I started spotting very very lightly on Sunday, 3 days early. I had an light period for maybe 2 hours on Wednesday, then by Wed afternoon, it was finished, completley. I know that this isn't stress related for me, stress doesn't affect my periods, and I haven't even been stressed lately.

I know that I might have thrown out my period schedule by skipping my period.. but I thought that if I skipped a period, the next one should be heavier, so that's why I'm confused, it seems weird to me. Is there a possiblilty that I could be pregnant since my time of the month was so light and short, almost non existant?

(I also posted this in the preg. forum)

Although it seems logical that skipping a period would make the next one heavier, it actually doesn't really work that way.

Usually women who bleed aren't pregnant, but since your bleeding is so light and you had unprotected sex (he was inside of you without a condom while you were on medication making your birth control less effective, so its considered unprotected) I would recommend taking a pregnancy test. By now it would be 99% accurate since it's been so long since the acts of unprotected sex.

Periods can be weird, especially if you change something involving the birth control. Skipping the placebos or taking other medication that interfered with the absorption of the pill could have messed up your flow and made it lighter.
