Q: Very Light Long Period

Lately my period has been messed up.

The middle of February I had a totally normal period, then late February I started spotting brown, just a little bit. And this has been occurring ever since. It's never heavy, and sometimes it will change to red, but then back to brown again. Sometimes it will stop for about a day and start up again. I got a few cramps about a week ago. It's very light, and very long.

I am not taking birth control and I am not pregnant.

Can anyone help out and tell me what's up?
Should I just wait it out, or does this sound like a major problem?

I wish I had some sage advice but I can only tell you to talk to your doctor. Hormonal changes can cause this type of bleeding. Thyroid problems can interfere with your hormones and thus cause your cycle to be off. See your doctor.

How old are you Sarah? If you are still in your teens, this is normal. It takes a while for hormones to stabilize after you reach puberty. I had the same thing happen when I was a teen.
