Suggestion
Hello. I am responding to your question, not because I know the answer, because as you've said, the number is already high. I do, however, have a suggestion, as I was reading your question and saw that you said you do not have insurance. There are Discount Medical Plans that can help you with the cost of your medicines, insulins, and lab work. There is no underwriting so you're not denied any coverage. This can maybe help and encourage you to obtain check-ups regularly and tests more often as needed. They are very affordable and cover a wide variety of healthcare coverages. These plans are not insurance, and eligibility depends soley on if you deicde to register or not, and they will discount your bill for services. It's pretty simple to register.

To answer your questions, I am also diabetic w/ type 2, and my blood sugar level is frequently as high as yours. You said you take pills. Do you take them everyday or just sometimes? Do you exercise? Try drinking unsweetened tea or water instead of juice or soda. Try exercising for 20 minutes, you blood sugar will rise for like 10-15 minutes but will eventually go down. It is also possible that your pills aren't working anymore. Sometimes when a person is taking a certain type of meds for a long period, their body gets desensitized to them and they need to switch to a different type. You may need to be switched to insulin or both insulin and pills. Hope my advice helps. Good luck.
