Hello

Ever since I can remember consuming food I have been fussy. I don't understand what is wrong with me and thought it was about time I addressed the problem.

My diet mainly consists of carbohydrates, usually chips or bread and other snack based food. The only goodness I get is from fruit when I eat it occasionally.

I have tried other foods before but if there is anything my mouth is not used to it makes me gag and if i persist and try to swallow it makes me physically sick. This is very frustrating as I want to improve my diet for the sake of my health and figure but whenever I try new foods I just can't get them down.

I don't know what it is down to but it gets me down sometimes as I can't go out for meals with friends or take a girl out on a date without being embarrassed about my eating habits. I know that it is all psychological but cannot determine the source. I know that on my mother’s side of the family there is a lot of strong cases OCD and sometimes find myself with obsessive behaviour but have never talked to a doctor or received diagnosis.

Thank you for your help in advance.
