hello all
for the past week or so i have had general congestion in my nose and throat, but in the last few days i've had an annoying tickling sensation that results in a very dry cough, I'm assuming because of the extremely dry, cold weather we've been having lately. the tickle is especially bad at night, and every morning i wake up extremely congested and cough up ample mucous in the shower. the color is brown/green/grey. often there is a little blood when i blow my nose as well. i'm hoping for some advice to keep my throat nice and wet, as it should be, aside from a humidifier, or steaming. is it necessary to seek medical care? (i'm not too psyched about taking antibiotics)
no existing medical conditions, light smoker (1/2 pack/day)
thanks
