My husband and I have been together since I was 14, now I'm 21, we've been married for almost 2 years. When we first starting dating we had sex often and I believe once starting birth control and nursing school as well everything went down hill. I feel like my sex life will never go back to normal. I'm no longer taking my birth control, which I feel like affected it as well, to see if this would assist with gaining my libido back. I've only been off it since october. I dont know if sex was just new to me or what back then, but does any one else have a similiar problem or know some one who's had this problem as well? This is very frustrating to me at such a young age, I feel like everything should normal! Rolling Eyes

I have a similar problem and was considering posting my story, just to get some ideas for "home remedies." I dated a guy for 4 years, went on birth control towards the end of our relationship and had sex often, met my fiance shortly after the relationship ended. 6 months into our relationship I suddenly became disinterested in sex. I can't even become horny anymore, it happens maybe twice a month. I'm not even 23 yet and I feel sad for my fiance because we haven't even had sex yet. He's nearly 30 and wants it more than any 17 year old boy I've met.

I've been thinking my problem has to do with my hypothyroidism because that's pretty much the exact time I was diagnosed with it. I just don't know what to do. Medication may or may not help me, so I was looking for any supplements or whatever to help before I start hoping for meds to work.

I feel frustrated like you do- that it's unfair. Just know that it's more common than you think. Your body changes completely every 7 years, so at 21 (which is when I started noticing the same problem) you could be facing more medical problems than before. Not to mention life stress.
